Today is Day 64.

We are in the gospel of Mark and we'll'll be reading chapter 4, verses 1 through 20.

In this passage, we are going to hear Jesus tell the parable of the sower.

I'm reading from the new American translation of the Bible.

And let's all remember that God's Holy Word is alive and active.

So in prayer, let's open our hearts to receive his message.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit and they shall be created and you will renew the face of the earth.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark chapter 4, verses 1 through 20.

On another occasion, he began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down.

And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land, and he taught them at length

in parables, and in the course of his instruction he said to them, hear this, a sewer went out to

sow, and as he sowed some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on rocky ground where it had
