Welcome back to our reading of the Gospels this school year.

We are on day 172 of this journey.

We are reading from the Gospel of John,

and today we are reading chapter 8,

verses 21 through 30, where we will hear Jesus continue to explain his relationship with the father and that he is indeed the father's ambassador. Now, I'm reading from the New American

translation of the Bible, but before we begin, let's pray.

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit, and they shall be created, and you will renew the face of your love. Send forth your spirit and they shall be created and you will renew the face of

the earth. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. A reading from the

Holy Gospel according to John chapter 8 verses 21 through 30. He to them again i am going away and you will look for me but you will

die in your sin where i am going you cannot come so the jews said he is not going to kill himself is he

because he said i am going he? Because he said, I am going. You cannot come.

He said to them, you belong to what is below. I belong to what is above. You belong to this world,

but I do not belong to this world. That is why I told you that you will die in your sins.

For if you do not believe that I am, you will die in your sins.

So they said to him, who are you?

Jesus said to them, what I told you from the beginning.
