You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:31.7

Hey there, Sprouse. Today is Thursday, April 21st, 2022. This is also the Thursday of the octave of Easter.

0:37.9

This week on the Catholic Sprodds podcast, we are talking about Easter and talking about divine mercy and how they are so deeply related that mercy is love's second name and that after Jesus

0:44.7

suffered and died on the cross, he won for us the rewards of heaven. These two things are so

0:50.3

linked. And if we trust in Jesus Christ, if we call on His mercy, we will join him in heaven.

0:59.0

So we already talked about a couple of miracles that have to do with the divine mercy.

1:04.1

Today we are going to talk about another miracle. And when we talk about this, we are going to

1:09.7

remember that the divine mercy really is a promise of heaven.

1:14.8

1:46.6

she really took it upon herself to pray the divine mercy chaplet for the conversion of souls.

1:53.0

And she had one soul in particular that she desperately wanted to be converted. It was her brother.

2:00.3

Her brother was an atheist, meaning he refused to believe

2:04.3

that God even exists. He never went to church. He never bothered to think about God, and he thought

2:10.8

people that believed in God were foolish. Well, Sister Teresita knew that it was pointless to argue

2:17.2

with her brother anymore,

2:18.9

so instead she turned to Jesus to his divine mercy and dedicated herself to pray the

2:25.2

divine mercy chaplain for her brother for 54 days in a row. She decided to do that. She also

2:33.3

enlisted one of her brother's friends to help her. So together

2:36.5

they got to work. They prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet. But just a couple of days into their prayer,

2:41.3

her brother was diagnosed with brain cancer and it was serious. They kept praying, they kept praying,
