0:30.7	Hey there, Sprouse. Today is Monday, April 4th, 2020. Today is also the fifth week of Lent.
0:37.4	And so we will be carrying on our Lenton series where we are looking at the seven deadly sins. We have already talked about
0:39.1	anger, envy, pride, gluttony, and sloth. This week we will be talking about greed. Now greed is one of
0:50.8	the more understandable sins. We can see and identify greed all around us in the world.
0:58.3	And I bet that you already know what greed is.
1:01.5	Greed is when we love things of this world too much.
1:08.2	We oftentimes think about greed with money. And people love money too much when they want
1:17.5	more and more and more money. We also oftentimes think that the only people that are greedy
1:23.5	are the very, very rich, although a rich person certainly can be greedy, a person whose poor can still be greedy.
1:33.4	Because greed has to do with just the way that we think about possessions and money, how we get money,
1:42.7	why we want more possessions and more money, and what we do with them once we
1:49.0	have them. Remember, you can be very rich and also very, very generous. There's people in this world
1:56.4	that have tons of money and they give and give and they are not greedy at all. And there's also people that
2:02.5	don't have very much money at all, but they keep it to themselves, they think about it all the time,
2:08.2	and they fall into the sin of greed. So even if you're out there thinking, well, I don't have very
2:13.6	much money, so I'm not greedy. This is a sin that we all can suffer from. The reason why greed is so
2:20.6	bad, it's so toxic in our lives, is because it confuses what money and possessions are supposed to be.
2:29.9	So tomorrow we're going to talk about why it's a sin, but today we're going to talk about why it's just plain old unhealthy and bad for us.
2:38.6	The thing is, is that money is supposed to be a means to an end.
2:44.5	Maybe you've heard that before, a means to an end.
2:48.3	Now, that means that money is like, it's a tool. It's something that we need to accomplish
