| 0:29.2 | Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, March 29th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are continuing our series on the Seven Deadly Sins. This week we are talking about |
| 0:35.0 | sloth, which is a laziness. It can be a laziness that is physical, |
| 0:39.9 | but this week we're going to be talking mostly about a spiritual sort of laziness, where we are not |
| 0:46.1 | living up to or fulfilling our relationship with God like we know we should. And so today, we are going to |
| 0:52.7 | talk about why we need to work. Now work is a big term, |
| 0:59.2 | right? We oftentimes think about that in terms of a job, but there are lots of things that we do, |
| 1:05.2 | lots of work that we do that isn't a job. We do work around our house, we do homework, and in a very real way, |

| 1:34.7 | We see in creation, he worked to create everything that we experience, right? |
| 1:39.8 | The moon, the stars, the earth, plants, animals, other people. |

| 1:54.0 | Resting only makes sense if our life is otherwise filled with work. We also have Jesus who came to the world. He lived as a |
| 2:05.7 | human being and he gave us a perfect example of everything. And he gave us a perfect example of how |
| 2:12.5 | we are called to work. And this didn't just start when he was a grown-up. It started when he was a child. |
| 2:20.5 | If you remember, there was a story where the Holy Family went to Jerusalem for a festival. |
| 2:26.6 | They left thinking that Jesus was with other relatives in this big group of people traveling |
| 2:32.4 | back to Nazareth. He, of course, wasn't. Do you |
| 2:36.0 | remember where he was? He was in the temple. And Mary and Joseph searched and searched. They |
| 2:41.4 | finally found him there. He was teaching the teachers, teaching the teachers in the temple. |
