Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Monday, December 20th, 2021. Today is also the start of the fourth week of Advent. So of course, you know that Christmas is just a few days away. We'll be celebrating Christmas on Sunday.

0:46.4

And so to prepare for that, we are going to be spending all week talking about the incarnation.

0:54.0

Now, I know that's a big word, but I bet you know what it is. So the incarnation is the unbelievable fact that at one point in time,

0:59.0

God decided to become a human being. God who was infinite, who created everything. He lowered himself so far that he became one of us,

1:13.7

one of us with the same type of body and emotions and thoughts,

2:11.0

We are going to be going through 10 reasons that St. Thomas Aquinas shares in the third

2:16.5

part of his great work called the Summa Theologica,

2:19.6

and he wrote this part. He shares 10 reasons why the incarnation is so incredible. And he wrote this

2:28.4

based on the writing and preaching of St. Augustine. So two of the most smartest people that have ever walked the earth,

2:35.4

they were dedicated Catholics, loved to pray and think about the mystery of God. So they are going

2:42.6

to be telling us 10 reasons why the incarnation is wildly, insanely important. So the first one, the first reason why the incarnation matters is because of

2:54.3

our faith. Faith, belief, the Catholic faith that we belong to, the incarnation is such an
