| 0:56.9 | becoming a saint. She is Italian and very modern. In fact, she lived in the 1980s. And her name is |
| 1:05.2 | Blessed Kiara Bandano. Blessed Kiara Bandano was kind of a miracle baby. Her parents got married, but for years, |
| 1:15.9 | even though they wanted to have a big family, they could not get pregnant. They couldn't have any |
| 1:20.6 | babies. Finally, out of desperation, her parents made a pilgrimage and begged the Lord for a baby, and nine months later, Kiara was born. |
| 1:32.0 | She was an only child, the beloved daughter, and even from a young age, she was devoted to Jesus Christ. |
| 1:39.0 | She gave much of her time to youth groups that brought her closer to Jesus that taught her how to find him in |
| 1:45.6 | scripture. And she also spoke about Jesus to her friends often. But then something very sad happened. |
| 1:53.4 | When she was still a teenager, Kiara was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer. She was very |
| 2:00.5 | sad. But because she knew Jesus and she loved Jesus, |
| 2:05.7 | moments after her diagnosis, she looked at a crucifix and said simply, Christ, if this is what you want, |
| 2:15.0 | then I want it to. Each step of the way, and it was a very painful journey |
| 2:21.3 | through cancer for her, through painful treatments and painful side effects, Kiara always looked |
| 2:28.2 | to Jesus and said, Lord, if you want this, then I want it to. Probably the hardest moment for her as she suffered |
| 2:38.0 | through cancer was when she lost her hair. Due to the treatments she received to fight the cancer, |
| 2:44.1 | her hair began to fall out, and her mother shaved off her last few pieces of hair. |
| 2:50.3 | Keara cried. She loved her hair. But then she gathered it |
| 2:55.6 | in her fist and once again looked at the crucifix and said, Christ, if you want this, then I want it to. |
