You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:25.1

Greetings, Young Squire Sprouts.

0:30.6

Today is the 26th day in the 10th month in the year of our Lord 2021.

0:39.1

My name is Sir Roland Paterlot, your host this week on Catholic Sprouts, and we are talking about dragon slaying. Yesterday, we talked about what a dragon is. A dragon is sin. It's temptation, it's distractions. It's any obstacle to

0:44.9

becoming a saint, and we need to be able to slay dragons. Yesterday, I told you that I would teach you

0:50.0

that we all suffer from dragon wounds, and we do, because you see, up until 2,000 years ago,

0:55.4

1:34.8

be battle-ready. We must be able to identify the dragons so that we can heal our dragon wounds.

1:40.4

And that's what we're going to talk about today. How can we be healed of dragon wounds?

1:45.9

Well, the good news is that the chief dragon slayer Jesus knew that we still struggle from temptations to dragons.

1:51.3

And so he left us a great sacrament that can heal us if we do get wounded.

1:56.5

And of course, that sacrament is the sacrament of reconciliation.

2:00.7

It's like the antidote,

2:01.9

the anti-venom that can heal you when you get tripped up. And we need to be able to prepare

2:06.7

for this sacrament, and the way we do that is to identify our dragons and what we call an
