Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. Today is also the feast day of St. Isaac Jacques. St. Isaac was a Catholic missionary who left Europe and came to what is now Canada to evangelize the native peoples there. He gave his whole self to this work, and unfortunately, he in his lifetime, was not very

successful. He ended up dying a martyr at the hands of the people he was trying to evangelize.

However, the seeds of faith planted by St. Isaac and others did flourish.

Years later, St. Cotiri was born to this very same tribe, and she followed Christ boldly because of the brave example of missionaries

and martyrs like St. Isaac Jacques before her. Now, today you'll be hearing from Anthony

D. Ambrosia once again about parables, the kingdom of heaven, and true treasure. Enjoy.

Guys, I'm back. It's Anthony Dambrosio here, and I'm so excited to be back to talk about

the kingdom of heaven again with you today. Yesterday, we talked about the parable of the

treasure buried in the field, and we talked about how the kingdom of heaven

is like that buried treasure.

The kingdom of heaven is the most perfect country

that we could ever imagine.

And by being friends with Jesus,

we get to live in that country wherever we go.

Even if we're living in a country like the U.S. where there's trouble and there's

fighting and sadness or boredom, instead of being sad or angry or bored like other people

around us, we can bring heaven with us to them wherever we go and make every place a little more

like heaven. That sounds pretty cool, right? Right. But I said there was a catch.

Let's look at the parable again. Jesus said, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a

field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys

that field.
