| 1:54.1 | that others might not understand about the Catholic Church. But it is so important that we |
| 2:00.4 | understand these things. Now, it's important not only that we understand these things. Now it's important not only |
| 2:02.7 | that we understand them so that we can give our whole heart to practicing this faith, but also |
| 2:09.8 | remember what Jesus told the disciples to do as he was ascending back out up into heaven, |
| 2:15.8 | to go and spread the truth, to make disciples of all |
| 2:20.8 | nations. So this week, before we start these arguments, these defenses of the Catholic faith, |
| 2:27.1 | we are going to talk about why we as Catholics, why, why we as Catholics need to understand what we believe? Like, why do we |
| 2:39.2 | personally need to understand it? It's not enough to trust that your priest really knows, |
| 2:44.3 | and he's smart and I like him, so that's good enough for me. Now, that's fine for a child, |
| 2:50.0 | but it's not going to be okay forever, or even to say, |
| 2:53.7 | my parents really believe the faith, and I really love them. So that's good enough. |
