Hey there, Spouse. Today is Friday, July 9th, 2021.

0:32.3

Now, all week we have been talking about the beatitude, specifically the first beatitude,

0:39.2

Blessed are the poor in spirit. We've talked about detachment, not being so attached to what we own,

0:46.9

practicing interior freedom that reminds us of how we need to depend on Jesus and trust him fully.

0:56.7

And yesterday we talked about how poverty, not being so attached to these things, that that will make us truly free.

1:02.5

Now today we are going to wrap up our discussion on Blessed Are the Poor and Spirit by talking about some ways that we can live this.

1:07.3

2:06.6

to practice service in your home. We see how poor and spirit Christ was at the last supper

2:14.0

when he got down on his hands and knees and he washed the filthy feet of his

2:20.8

disciples. God himself. Now, he was their teacher, so that alone was crazy that he was there

2:30.2

washing his students' feet. But so, so much more than that, he was God. And yet,

2:36.6

he didn't hold tight onto any of these things. He was willing to give even that to lower

2:42.6

himself even more in service. So what are some simple things that you can do in service around your

2:49.7

home? Well, there are many things,
