| 0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
| 0:23.7 | Hey there, sprouts. |
| 0:28.1 | Today is Friday, February 26, 2021. |
| 0:32.8 | All week long, we have been talking about the Daily Examined, which was created by St. Ignatius of Leola over 500 years ago. |
| 0:36.1 | We've already talked about the first four steps of the daily |
| 0:39.7 | examine, which are being aware that you are in God's presence and entering into silence and |
| 0:46.8 | focusing on what is happening now. The next one is to evaluate the day you have just lived |
| 0:53.0 | in terms of gratitude. What blessings did you |
| 0:56.4 | experience? Next, you evaluate your day by looking for where you experience love, whether it's |
| 1:03.1 | love between two people or the very love of God active in your life. And we do this because God |

| 1:13.6 | experiencing love. Now, the next thing that we do is we look through our day is we look for |
| 1:20.0 | the ways that we failed, that we sinned, that we chose selfishness, that we rejected love, |
| 1:26.2 | or we even rejected God. So we look through our day |
| 1:29.9 | for ways that we have failed and we ask for forgiveness. We only have one step left of the daily |
| 1:36.7 | examine and that is to ask for grace. Now we ask for grace as we wrap up looking at the day we have just lived and we look to |
| 1:47.8 | tomorrow. We know that we want to do better tomorrow. We want to have more that we are grateful for. |
| 1:56.0 | We want to bring love more into our day and we want to have fewer sins to have to confess to God. |
| 2:03.8 | So we see tomorrow is a great possibility, a new beginning and a day to truly bring Christ |
| 2:10.8 | more into our lives. So in this final stage, we think about what our day will entail the following day. |
| 2:21.0 | Will we be going to school? |
| 2:23.1 | Will there be tests that we're worried about or other subjects? |
