Hey there, Sprouse. Today is Tuesday, January 26, 2021. It is also the feast day of two saints from the early church, St. Timothy and St. Titus. Now, these are fun saints to be celebrating today because yesterday we celebrated the conversion of St. Paul.

And today we are celebrating two of St. Paul's closest friends.

St. Timothy was a young man when he met St. Paul and he was converted.

He became a priest and also a bishop in the early, early church.

Titus also met St. Paul when St. Paul was preaching. He also became a close friend of St. Paul,

and he became a bishop as well. Both of these men worked very hard to convert souls,

to bring the church to places where they had never heard the name of Jesus Christ.

They worked to spread the liturgy of the Mass.

They brought Mass to places where they had never experienced it.

And they also won many hearts for Jesus Christ.

So let's remember these two great saints who brought the church all over the world.

Now, this week, we are talking about what happened during the Transfiguration and how Jesus

worked to help us understand and the early followers

understand what it truly meant the Messiah had come to do. So the first thing, remember way

back, Jesus asked his disciples who people said he was. They had lots of answers, John the Baptist, Elijah.

He said, but who do you say that I am? And Peter, of course, responded, you are the Messiah,

the Holy One of God. Jesus then told them not to tell anyone this, but he saw Peter's great faith that this was knowledge given to him

by God and he gave Peter a new name. In fact, before this, he had been called Simon.

Then he gives him the name of Peter, which means rock, that he will be the strong foundation upon which the future
