This week we're talking about four saints who are better than the supers from Incredibles because their powers are real.

Today is Tuesday, October the 6th, the year 2020. It's also the Feast Day of

St. Bruno. I'm going to tell you a story about another Polish saint, St. Stanislaus of Krakow,

and this story comes from the book called Purgatory. The year is 1070, and Stann Stanislaus is Bishop of Krakow, and governing Poland at the time

as Duke Boluslaus II. Now, St. Stannislaus was accusing Bolus loss of violations of his duties,

of not doing what he was supposed to be doing. And Bolusloss did not like that

at all. So he decided that he was going to take revenge on St. St. Staslaus. So he found out that there was a

man named Peter Miles who had died three years before and that Peter had sold a big piece of ground

to the church. And so Boluslaus got the relatives of Peter Miles

to come forward and he basically bribed them

to get them to lie to say that Peter Miles

never got paid for the land.

And so that's what they did.

They brought a lawsuit against St. Stanislaus

and said, hey, St. Stanislaus never paid

our relative Peter for the

land. And so when they did that and they brought the lawsuit, Stannislaus went to defend himself,

but he wasn't able to defend himself because none of the relatives would stand on his side because

they all had been bribed or intimidated. And so poor St. St. Stasloss was stuck there, and he was going to lose a

lawsuit, and there was going to be a lot of money to have to pay for something that it had already

paid for. And so he prayed, and he had an inspiration, and he asked for a delay of three days,
