Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, September 8th, 2020. We also have a very special person celebrating a birthday today. Do you know who it is? Today is the birthday of our blessed mother Mary. We officially called today's feast day the nativity of Mary and we know the nativity means birth. So do something

special for Mary, maybe have a dessert in her honor and wish her a very happy birthday. Now, this week, we are kicking off a journey that we will all be going on through this

podcast to get to know Jesus better.

And we will always be circling back to that most important question that Jesus asked his

disciples, but he also asks us, who do you say that I am? Well, the first part

that we need to understand to answer this question is that we need to fully believe and know

is real that Jesus Christ walked this earth, that he was a real human being with skin and blood and bones

and feelings, that he wore clothes, that he lived at a specific time, in a specific place, that he was

real. And not only that, but he lived in a real family. Remember, today is Mary's

birthday. Mary, his mother, who gave birth to him. She also was real. She was born on an exact day.

We know her birthday. She lived in a house with a family. She had plans and

she got hurt just like we do. They were real. Now, why is this so important? Well, it's important

because as a Christian, if you've lived your whole life as a Christian, you might not

understand how radically amazing it is that God, God that we worship, that we know he was real,

because other religions, pagan religions, or even religions that are still practiced today, they don't have this.

We are historical religion.

We know that there are facts that our faith is built upon.

Now, here's the variety of other religions out there.

Before Christianity, most of the world was pagan,

and they believed in like Roman or Greek gods like Zeus or Venus. And they were a mythological religion. They had tons of gods and all of the stories that they told themselves.
