This week we're talking about fear, and we're not talking about fear of the Lord, but we're

talking about fear and worry.

We've already talked about how this world is a scarier place, but how we should never let

fear control us because we are a people with a savior. We are a people that belonged to Jesus

Christ who conquered death. Yesterday, we looked at the example of St. Louis King of France,

who boldly went and fought in the Crusades,

even though he knew this was a super dangerous thing to do, but how we should always know that

Jesus conquered death and that death is not the end. Now, today I want you to think back on

the early Christian martyrs. Perhaps you've heard back on the early Christian martyrs.

Perhaps you've heard stories about the early Christian martyrs and perhaps maybe you've

heard about some of the gruesome ways that they were killed, especially in Rome.

One particular saint that I personally love is St. Cecilia.

Now, I know that we have talked about her on the podcast before, and she died like many other

hundreds and hundreds of Christian martyrs.

She died for entertainment in the city of Rome.

If you remember, what happened is that the Christians, St. Paul and St. Peter, both ended

up being called to Rome by Jesus Christ.

They were there.

They were conferting souls and baptizing.

And the number of Christians were growing.
