| 0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
| 0:23.6 | Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, June 19th, 2020. |
| 0:26.6 | It is also the feast day of the sacred heart of Jesus. |
| 0:31.6 | Before we get into anything, we need to talk about this incredible feast day. |
| 0:35.6 | Today, more than anything, we are celebrating the love of God. |
| 0:41.5 | Perhaps you have seen an image of the sacred heart of Jesus before. The image is usually so, |
| 0:48.0 | Jesus Christ, but his heart is shown, and his heart is on fire. Fire is bursting out of the top of his heart and all around |
| 0:58.7 | his heart is the crown of thorns. Now this is an important image that Jesus himself brought to a saint |

| 1:35.2 | cross, all of it. That all was the most tremendous expression of love for you. Now, we should always look at the suffering and death of |
| 1:48.7 | Jesus and understand just a little bit better every time we come to it, the depth of God's love for |
| 1:56.7 | us. Of course, we won't ever fully understand this until we are in heaven, but we keep coming |
| 2:02.5 | back and we keep looking at this heart, for it is the love of Jesus Christ that placed him |
| 2:08.9 | on the cross for us. Devotions to the sacred heart means not only that we acknowledge this |
| 2:15.0 | love for Jesus, but that we open ourselves up to this love. |
| 2:19.2 | And we are constantly trying to unite our heart with the love and heart of Jesus Christ, |
| 2:26.7 | reaching out to him with the absolute core of who we are. |
| 2:31.6 | When we talk about our heart, we oftentimes talk about the most basic part of us, |
| 2:36.1 | the deepest, most secret part of us, that that is where we are asking Jesus to enter with |
