It's Thursday of Holy Week.

Holy Thursday.

And this is Father Kay.

Here to answer more of your questions.

If we remember, Holy Week was the day that Jesus celebrated his last supper with his good friends, his disciples.

And it's when he, for the first time, gave us the Eucharist, his very own body and blood. Of course, it's also when Judas betrayed him and when he began his suffering.

When he began what we call his passion, we remember the agony in the garden where Jesus suffered very much and even sweat drops of blood.

And we remember that he was arrested and treated very poorly and hit and punched by the guards

and questioned by the Pharisees before they locked him up and then brought

him to Punch his pilot the next day.

And it's with all that in mind that this question comes.

What does our suffering have to do with the way that Jesus suffered for us?

Suffering is such a difficult thing, and all of us undergo it in some way or another.

The beautiful thing about Jesus' suffering is that he gives meaning to our own suffering.

He suffered in every way that we could possibly suffer.

He was rejected.

We've all felt that where somebody doesn't want us to play with them.

He was called names, all sorts of bad names, even though he was so good.

He was hit.

He was whipped.
