Today's question is, why did Jesus have to die to save us from our sins? Why couldn't God do it another way? He's God,

after all. Again, a very good question as we prepare for Easter. And the answer is he didn't have to.

He could have done it in any way he chose, but I guess he thought that this was going

to be the best way. The best way to save us from our sins. The best way to show us how much

he loves us, the best way to give us an example to follow.

We can think about it like this.

What if Jesus had saved us in a different way?

What if Jesus came down and picked the flower?

And he gave us a flower and he said, if you have this flower, then you get to go to heaven.

And say, oh, cool.

And then we got to pick other flowers and give them to other people and then everybody had flowers and say, well, God really loves us a lot.

That's why he gave us this flower.

Well, that's nice.

It's sweet.

Flowers are pretty.

They smell good.

And we give flowers to people who we love.

Sometimes maybe somebody gave you a flower on your birthday.

Or maybe you gave a flower to your mom on Mother's Day, and it shows some love.

But the only one who had to die for that gift was the flower.

But for Jesus to die, I think that shows us a great amount of love.
