You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:28.9

Hey there, Sproutes. Today is Friday, April 3, 2020. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are rounding out our discussion on the sin of sloth and the virtue of zeal for the mission.

0:36.9

We've already heard that zeal is really embracing that work that Jesus gave us,

0:42.4

and that even Jesus saw his life and his work a great gift to us when he finally said,

0:49.6

it is finished as he died on the cross.

0:53.4

We have talked about how faith, in order for it to be alive, must lead to action.

1:00.7

1:40.9

And that concept is this.

1:43.4

When we set to work doing the work that God has given us,

1:48.8

what is important is not that we are successful, but that we are faithful. Now, what does this

1:57.9

mean? It means that if God calls you to go and maybe become a teacher and help children fall in love with Jesus, come to know him.

2:09.6

But if for whatever reason the children that you teach don't listen to you, they don't want to hear about Jesus and their hearts aren't changed.

2:19.1

That is not as important as whether you are faithful to the work that God has given you

2:26.4

and you continue going each day and lovingly telling the children about Jesus.

2:34.4

It's not so important if you win, if you convince everyone,

2:38.6

if you become the fastest, the best, whatever,
