podcast, we are talking about reconciliation. We've already talked about the details of what

happened during the sacrament of reconciliation.

Yesterday we talked about sin and how sin is knowing what God wants, but deciding to do what I want instead.

Today we're going to tackle one of the most common questions when it comes to reconciliation, and that is this question. Why do I need to go to confession

and tell my sins to a priest? Why can't I just go to God? Now, this is an important question.

So, first of all, I want to tell you this. Please go to God with your sins. Spend time in prayer,

asking for forgiveness, humble yourself before the Lord. In fact, one of the most powerful prayers

that we hear in the gospel comes from a tax collector.

He's in the temple, and he bows his head and pounds his chest and pray simply,

God have mercy on me a poor sinner.

Those words are words that we can use.
