Hey there's Spouts. Today is Friday, November 22, 2019. It is also the feast day of St. Cecilia.

Now, this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we have been talking about the gift of understanding,

which comes from the Holy Spirit. It is gift number six. So next week is our last week talking about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We have talked about understanding saying that understanding is

what separates us from animals. We can put things together and come to deeper, more complicated understanding.

We've also talked about that the gift of the Holy Spirit of understanding allows us to know

We also looked at the road to Amas and how Jesus used the scripture to help us understand and perfected our understanding through the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Yesterday, we looked at Mary and we reminded ourselves that understanding takes work.

we need to take these things to our heart and put in the work of pondering them, praying about

really allows us to live in a radical way. So first of all, a little bit about

Saint Cecilia. St. Cecilia was an early Christian and she lived in the city of Rome. After Jesus

died, the disciples went out to the whole world to spread the good news about Jesus Christ.

Many were converted. Many became devoted to Jesus.

And one place that Peter and Paul didn't particularly want to go was Rome, because Rome was
