Greetings young Squires,outs. Today is the 22nd day in the second month in the year of our Lord 2025. My name is Sir Roland Paterlot and you're listening to Saturdays with

Sir Rol and on Catholic Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today we celebrate the feast of the chair

of St. Peter the Apostle. Sounds kind of weird to have a feast day for a chair, but the chair is a symbol of

authority, and in Rome there is an ancient chair that is believed to be St. Peter's chair. It represents

not only the unity of the Christian church, but the authority of the Pope to lead and guide the universal church.

Jesus gave Peter, and all the popes who followed him, the authority to be the teacher and guardian of the faith for Catholics all over the world.

But as we all know, Peter was a sinful and weak man, who in Jesus' greatest hour of need, coward and ran away.

But after Pentecost, Peter had received the Holy Spirit,

and in his boldness and leadership after that is proof that God can use broken and sinful

people like us to build his church on earth.

Peter not only preached and taught with great authority and leadership after Pentecost,

but he lived and died for

the faith, becoming a martyr, eventually being crucified upside down because he did not feel worthy

to die in the same way as his Lord Jesus Christ. Reading the stories of people like St. Peter and all

the early Christian martyrs, it got me thinking about something Jesus said. In the Gospel of Matthew

11, Jesus says, take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart,

and you will find rest for yourselves, for my yoke is easy and my burden light. Jesus said
