This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are discussing tabernacle art. Today, we are going to talk about

what the tabernacle is and why we go there to visit Jesus. I'll give you some tips for how to

pray by looking at art that you may find on or near the tabernacle. Since we're introducing the

give a shout out to some sprouts that I met at a little church in the Virginia countryside

Sprouts from Virginia. When you go to church sprouts, have you ever noticed the tabernacle? It is usually

on the back of the wall behind the altar. Sometimes it is in a separate little chapel or room

but it can be other shapes.

It may be made of metal or wood

precious to be in this special container. Actually, what's inside isn't a thing. There's a person in there. It is Jesus in his real presence in the bread that was transformed into him during Mass.
