Do your parents give you certain rules to follow?

Rules like no playing out on the street, or go to bed at a certain time, or no dessert before you

finish your dinner, or no jumping off the roof, or no teasing your little brother, or no using

your sister's stuffed animal for archery targets targets or no playing hockey in the living room.

Sometimes it might seem like rules are meant to keep us from having fun, but every good

parent gives their children rules to follow, not to prevent them from having fun, but to prevent them

from being slaves. You might think that rules make you a slave, but in reality, rules are what keep us free.

God is a good father, and he gives his children rules to follow. Perhaps you have heard of the

Ten Commandments that God gave to Moses to tell the Israelites. But why did God give the Israelites the

Ten Commandments? Well, the Bible is a story, and context matters, so it's important for you to know that when God gave the Ten Commandments to Well, the Bible is a story and context matters, so it's important for you to know that
