Today is Tuesday, November 11th, 2020.

This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are continuing our ABCs of the Catholic

faith.

We are on the letter J, talking about justice, one of the cardinal virtues.

Yesterday we talked about the four cardinal virtues, the last one being justice.

And today we're going to start to try to understand what justice really is and how it plays

such an important role in our world.

But before we get there, please join me in St. Gertrude's Prayer that we are learning this

month, as we remember in a special way the Holy Souls in purgatory.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the most precious body and blood of thy son, Jesus,

in union with the masses said throughout the world this day.

For all those holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere,

for sinners in the universal church, for those in my home and within my family, amen.

So what is justice? Yesterday we talked about how justice is our duty to other people and to God.

The other cardinal virtues have to do with decisions I'm making inside of myself. Fortitude,

will I keep going? Temperance. Will I say no to something that is simply good so I can give myself to God the greatest

good? But justice is when we look out at the world, we see the other people in our families,
