0:29.3	Hey there, spouseouts. Today is Thursday, September 19th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are moving right on through the Catholic ABCs. We are on the letter F for
0:36.4	forgiveness. We have already discussed that absolutely
0:41.1	anything we do can be forgiven by God and that God alone is the one that forgives sins.
0:49.3	Yesterday we saw that the first step toward forgiveness is sorrow for our sins.
0:57.5	Today we are going to look closer at the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
1:02.3	But before we get there, please join me in our prayer for students, which is our August
1:07.4	prayer.
1:07.9	You can find it inside the student planner.
1:11.6	In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
1:18.6	Lord, our God, in your wisdom and love, you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
1:26.3	Send your spirit upon us and fill us with your wisdom and
1:30.6	blessings. Grant that we may devote ourselves to our studies. Through them, draw us ever closer to
1:39.0	you the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, amen. The Sacrament of Reconciliation.
1:50.9	Now, this is likely a sacrament that you received when you were in second grade or will receive
1:56.2	when you are in second grade. Now, if you don't know this, the Catholic Church is the only Christian
2:03.5	church that requires us to go to confession to deal with our sins. Other Protestant denominations
2:12.3	encourage people to repent, but they feel that this is something that someone can take care of on their own.
2:19.0	You can sit privately in your bedroom, feel sorrow, ask God for forgiveness, and that it's taken
