0:35.2	Hildegard lived just about a thousand years ago, right in the year like
0:39.9	1098 and after. She was the 10th child in her family, and according to pious tradition,
0:48.2	she was tithed to the church, meaning they gave their 10th child to the church. She was brilliant. She was sent
0:56.7	to go live with an anchores, a woman who lived in seclusion next to the church, devoted herself
1:03.1	to prayer. As she grew, St. Hildegard eventually was the prioress of a large monastery in Germany.
1:14.2	She led those sisters and even some brothers,
1:22.4	and she was just brilliant on so many topics, from plants to music to theology. She was also a mystic, meaning that she received mystical visions. She is an incredible woman. I challenge you to learn more
1:30.5	about her. Now this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about forgiveness.

1:42.3	Church of Christian Martyrs, which reminds us that even
1:45.6	people who apostatize, who publicly denied Jesus, could be forgiven and welcome back into the church,
1:53.3	which is good news for us, that all of our sins are forgivable if we truly repent and go back to confession.
