Hey there, Spouts.

0:23.7

Today is Tuesday, August 27th, 2024.

0:28.4

Today is also the feast day of St. Monica.

0:31.8

St. Monica had a very famous son, St. Augustine, but she was holy in her own right, and St. Guston's a feast day.

0:40.3

His feast day is tomorrow. Today is his mom's feast day. And if St. Augustine was here, he would want

0:47.1

us to talk about his mother. Now, St. Monica was born a Christian. She lived in northern Africa in the late 300th, and this is right

1:52.3

lives that we love, that are living in a way that we know is harmful, if they're trapped in

1:58.2

sin, or if they simply don't know Jesus, that we can and we should

2:03.6

evangelize to them, but we also can always pray for them. We can pray diligently. And as St. Monica's

2:12.6

spiritual director told her at one point when she was just so devastated that St. Augustine was

2:18.8

still not a Christian. He said that God would not ignore all of the tears that she had shed

2:25.9

for her son because the love of a mother is very powerful. Now this week on the Catholic
