My name is Sir Roland Peterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Roland on Catholic

Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today we continue our series of the seven sacraments

of the Catholic Church and how they help us to face fight and defeat the seven deadly dragons. We're

nearing the end of our series as we only have two remaining sacraments and two remaining dragons.

Although all the sacraments help us to slay all the dragons with the supernatural power called

grace, we are focusing

on one dragon in particular for each sacrament. So let's do a quick review of what we discussed so far.

Reconciliation helps us to slay the red dragon of pride because of the humility required for the

sacrament. Baptism helps us to slay the orange dragon of envy because it reminds us that we're all

unique sons and daughters of a great father. Confirmation helps us to slay the orange dragon of envy because it reminds us that we're all unique

sons and daughters of a great father. Confirmation helps us to slay the yellow dragon of sloth because

it sends us out on a mission with passion and zeal and the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be disciples

of Christ. Holy orders helps us slay the green dragon of greed because of the extreme generosity

it takes to sacrifice your life

in order to bring God's life giving sacraments to the world, most especially the Mass.
