Summary

This week we are continuing our investigation of the Kerygma. Last week was the good news...and this week is the bad news. Sin is real, Satan is our enemy, and sin separates us from God and His good plan for our lives.

0:48.8	this, join me in prayer, so we have our good Lord's protection. We're praying the prayer to the sacred heart of
0:55.9	Jesus. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. O most holy heart of
1:04.2	Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor
1:15.5	heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant good Jesus
1:25.4	that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my
1:33.2	afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessings on all that I do,
1:41.7	and the grace of a holy death, amen.
1:45.9	So yesterday we talked about Satan.
1:48.1	He is a fallen angel that has forever rejected God, and all that God is, all that it is good,
1:56.5	true, and beautiful.
1:58.6	So what is Satan's goal for us? Why does he attack us? Why did he attack Adam and Eve
2:07.1	in the garden? Well, Satan wants us to ultimately be trapped in sin. Sin really becomes a trap. Sometimes if you have ever done this, if you've ever
2:21.8	told one lie, you sometimes realize that you have to tell another and another and another.
2:29.1	And soon, if you're ever going to be honest, you would have to unwind a huge mess that you have made.
2:38.2	Sin is like this.
2:39.7	Sin can also be like an addiction.
2:42.6	We want more and more and more.
