Sometimes the Catholic Church ask us to do really hard things or make sacrifices and other people

might think we're crazy, or see

the church as an arbitrary set of rules or regulations. It can be tempting to see those rules and

regulations as hoops that some dictator God is trying to make us jump through instead of a father

who's training us to be something great. But we don't have a God who just tells us what to do.
