Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

My dear young slayers, I have some bad news and some good news.

The bad news is this will be my last podcast of the year of our Lord 2023. I'm going to be taking

the next couple weeks off to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus and the joy of Christmas.

All slayers need to retreat now and then and spend some quiet time with the ultimate

dragon slayer and their family to gather their strength and their wits.

Which brings me to the good news.

I have some really exciting news to share, which is,

going to be revealed to you when I come back in January.

What?

You didn't think I was going to tell you now, did you? That is storytelling 101,

always leaving with the cliffhanger, so they'll come back for the next episode.

I don't want you to forget about me, or the art of dragon slaying while I'm away,

so I need to give you something to anticipate to keep your skills sharp and your zeal ardent and your faith strong.

Speaking of faith, that is our topic for today. I'd like to close out the year of our

Lord 2023 with a story about what faith is and what it is not. Perhaps you have heard a version of
