Hey there, sprouts. Today is Wednesday, November 8th, 2023. This week we are tackling the Ninth Commandment. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. We have already talked about having a

pure heart, pure eyes, and also living

without the virtue of chastity. Today we're going to continue on the topic of chastity and talk

specifically about how we need to treat other people with pure intentions.

So we'll dig into that.

But first, let's remind ourselves that we are practicing another virtue this month,

the virtue of gratitude as we prepare for Thanksgiving and also because of the challenge that Blessed Kiara Bedano has given us this month.

So if you'll join me in praying Psalm 136 verses 1 through

3. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Oh, give thanks to the Lord,

for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of God's, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Oh, give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord of Lords, for his steadfast love endures forever. Amen.

So today we are going to talk about having pure intentions, no matter who we are with,

but always looking at the person that we are a friend with or meeting for the first time and just making sure that our intentions towards that person are pure.

So before we get there, I want you to think about something.

Pope St. John Paul II talked a lot about the way that we look at other people and think about them.

And he put forth an idea that very often in our world, we don't see the person in front of us as a real full person made in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.

Instead, we see them as an object, something that we can use, someone that can do something for us, that we can get something from,

and then basically walk away from.
