Hey there, sprouts. Today is Monday, October 23rd, 2003. Now this week, we are continuing on with the Ten Commandments. We have come so far, my friends, keep with me. We are on the Eighth

Commandment. But before we dive into that, let's call

down the wisdom of the Holy Spirit through a prayer that Pope St. John Paul said every time before

he took a test he was nervous about the Veni Creator Spiritus. In the name of the Father,

and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen. Come Holy Spirit, Creator blessed, and in our souls, take up thy rest. Come with thy grace

and heavenly aid to fill the hearts which thou hast made.

O heavenly gift of God most high.

O font of life and fire of love and sweet anointing from above.

So this week we're talking about the Eighth Commandment,

likely learn these, the Eighth Commandment is you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You probably think about this as you shall not tell lies. Now, I bet I don't have to tell you what a lie is, but just in case a lie is

anything that is not the truth. And what I like to do when I think about this and other commandments

is I like to think about it in a positive, because not only this is, is this a rule that we should not

break. It is a rule that we should live our lives by.

And so I want to talk first about why we tell truth, why we're concerned about truth, why we chase after truth, why truth is so important.
