Summary

We all, just like St. Augustine, struggle with feelings of restlessness. Things we think will make us happy don't. Pursuits that we think will lead to fulfillment don't. The truth is that our hearts will be restless until they rest in Jesus. And so, in honor of St. Augustine, who is celebrating a feast day this week, let's talk about how we can find rest for our restless hearts.

Monday: hear the biography of St. Augustine!
Tuesday: Understand that we, like St. John the Baptist, find rest in God by doing His Work.
Wednesday: Understand that we, like St. Jeanne Jugan, find rest in God by giving ourselves away as a gift of love.
Thursday: Understand that we, like St. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, find rest in God when we accept our true identity in God.
Friday: Understand that we, like all the saints, can only find relief for our restless hearts in silence and stillness with God.

1:38.5	talk about our restless hearts, let's talk about St. Augustine's life. So St. Augustine lived in the 300s and just a little bit of
1:48.4	history. So Jesus lived around the year zero, just generally. He ascended back up into heaven. He
1:56.3	sent his apostles out to preach. They traveled the world. Both Peter and Paul ended up in Rome,
2:03.7	and that became the center of the early church, remains the center of our church to this day.
2:09.6	Great persecutions broke out in the Roman Empire. Many people died as martyrs, and for roughly
