Summary

Who are the real heroes? The saints! This week we have quite the line up for saints celebrating feast days, so let's reflect on their stories and marvel at what it means to be heroes in Christ's army.

+ Monday we explore the story of St. Mary MacKillop (although her feast day is Tuesday). She was the first saint from Australia and faced many hardships.

+ Tuesday we celebrate the feast of St. Dominic. Tune in to hear about his heroic life and the gift of the Rosary which Mary handed to him from heaven.

+ Wednesday is the feast day of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein). She is the patron saint of this month in the BE A SAINT KID's Club and a wonderful example of heroic love during a terrible moment in history.

+ Thursday is the feast day of St. Lawerence, a hero from the early Church.

+ Friday is the feast day of St. Clare of Assisi. This stubborn, wonderful saint stood up to a barbarian army when she was too sick to get out of bed. amazing.

0:33.8	Now, this week we are talking about incredible Catholic heroes that really show us how to change the world as followers of Jesus Christ.
0:44.1	Before we dive into the story of St. Dominic, however, please join me in praying the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel.

0:56.4	St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness

1:20.3	So as I said today is the feast day of St. Dominic. St. Dominic is a super-duper important saint. Dominic might sound familiar if you know
1:31.4	religious orders. He is the founder of the Dominicans who have various forms and are very
1:41.5	active in the world today. There are women who are Dominicans. There are men that are
1:47.4	Dominicans. So St. Dominic himself was born in Spain in the year 1172. His mother is also a saint,
1:56.7	and while she was pregnant, she had a dream. And that dream was that a child leapt from her wound.
2:04.6	And then that child became a dog. And the dog had a flaming torch in his mouth. And he ran through the
2:13.3	whole world and that torch lit the whole world on fire.
2:19.8	Now, this vision has really, really been a powerful explanation of what St.
2:26.1	Dominic did during his life. He became a powerful preacher. He founded an order of preachers
