Summary

We are all Catholic, but what does that mean? Join us as we dig into our Catholic identity this week and answer this question in a variety of ways. First, being Catholic means that we are sinners, but we have a savior. Next, being Catholic means that we belong to the Church that Christ founded. On Wednesday we explore how being Catholic means that we live the sacramental life. Thursday we look at the vast community we are part of as catholics, a community that reaches around the world and through time. Finally, on Friday, through the example of St. John Vianney, we are reminded that being Catholic means we that we are joyful, even amid suffering. May the discussion this week help us all reinvest in our identity as Catholics.

0:42.6	Now, this week we have been talking about what it means to be Catholic, and we will continue that conversation.
0:49.8	But first, please join me in praying the St. Michael prayer, which we are learning and praying

0:59.4	In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
1:04.1	St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.
1:07.8	Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him,
1:13.4	we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell,
1:21.5	Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
1:29.0	So what does it mean to be Catholic?
1:32.3	Now, we've answered this question two times already,
1:35.3	and we have yet another answer we are going to talk about today.
1:39.6	So we've already talked about how being Catholic means that we are sinners, striving to be saints,
1:46.5	but always aware that we have a Savior.
1:49.8	We also know that being a Catholic means that we belong to the very same church that Jesus Christ
