Summary

We are all Catholic, but what does that mean? Join us as we dig into our Catholic identity this week and answer this question in a variety of ways. First, being Catholic means that we are sinners, but we have a savior. Next, being Catholic means that we belong to the Church that Christ founded. On Wednesday we explore how being Catholic means that we live the sacramental life. Thursday we look at the vast community we are part of as catholics, a community that reaches around the world and through time. Finally, on Friday, through the example of St. John Vianney, we are reminded that being Catholic means we that we are joyful, even amid suffering. May the discussion this week help us all reinvest in our identity as Catholics.

0:39.9	please join me in praying our new prayer this month in the Be a St. Kids Club. Perhaps this one
0:46.5	is more familiar than the others. But this month, each day we will be praying the St. Michael
0:51.9	prayer. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
0:57.5	Amen. St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness
1:04.9	and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
1:14.9	thrust into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
1:23.0	Amen. So yesterday we talked about how being Catholic means that we are aware we are sinners,
1:29.8	but we are aware at the same time that we have a Savior who loves us, who has a plan for us,
1:38.0	and who is waiting for us in heaven.
1:41.1	Now today we are going to talk about that being Catholic means that we are aware that we belong to
1:49.9	Jesus' church.
1:52.6	Now this is something that I did not fully understand until I was much older, and I want you to start

2:03.1	After Jesus rose from the dead, he had 40 days with his followers, and during that time,
2:10.0	he commissioned them to go out and spread the good news.
2:14.7	He also made Peter the leader of these apostles, and he had established
2:21.4	Holy Mass and the Eucharist at the Last Supper all the way through onto Good Friday.
