Inspired by the Christ-centered friendships of Blessed Pier Georgio, let's explore Christian Friendship, through the example of some saints who were friends in real life!

Monday: hear the story of 16 French nuns, united in friendship, who bravely faced death and effectively ended the Reign of Terror
Tuesday: hear the story of St Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier, college roommates who baptized tens of thousands!
Wednesday: hear the story of St. Marcina the Younger, and the friendships she had with her siblings, most of which are now saints too!
Thursday: hear the story of Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi, and how their radical choice to follow Jesus made it possible for others to do the same.
Friday: hear the story of Sts. Felicity and Perpetua, two very different women who, united in Jesus, bravely faced death in His name.

0:38.6	Giorgio, Ignatius of Leola and his good friend Francis Xavier, and also St. Macrina the
0:45.1	younger and her siblings who, through friendship, many of which became saints. Today we are going
0:52.5	to talk about perhaps the most famous friendship in the
0:56.1	history of the Catholic Church, St. Francis of Assisi, and St. Clair of Assisi. But before we get there,
1:04.4	please join me in praying the prayer to the sacred heart. In the name of the Father,
1:09.6	and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
1:13.9	Oh, most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with
1:21.7	lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will.
1:32.8	Grant good Jesus that I may live in you and for you.
1:37.2	Protect me in the midst of danger.
1:39.7	Comfort me in my afflictions.
1:42.3	Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on
1:47.5	all that I do, and the grace of a holy death, amen. So, St. Francis and Claire of Assisi.
1:57.8	Chances are you know a little bit about these two saints, but it is really beautiful to reflect on
2:04.2	how one person's bold choice to follow Jesus can really ripple out and affect their friends.
