Now, this week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are going to be starting a new series that we will be going through the entire duration of Lent, which is focused on the Mass, what we do at Mass,

and why it is so fundamental to our entire lives as Christians.

But before we dive into that, if you would please join me in praying the Anna McChrystee,

with all your saints forever and ever amen so like i said this week we are talking about the mass

and we are just going to lay some foundational ideas down before we dive into the actual parts of

the mass next week. So the first question that we need to answer is a pretty fundamental one.

And that question is, why do we as Catholics have to go to Mass each and every Sunday. Now, this is something that is pretty

specific to Catholics, and we believe that, even for traveling, that there's churches

probably wherever we are, and that we can attend those, those parishes. We'll hear the same

readings. We'll, of course, be there hear the same readings. We'll of course be there

for the same Eucharistic prayer and be able to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. So why is it so

important that we go to Mass? In fact, we know if you have prepared for your first reconciliation,

we know that not attending Mass on a Sunday when we are able, when we are

well enough and can get to a church, that not going, choosing just simply not to go, is a really

big sin. In fact, it is a mortal sin that puts your soul in danger of not getting to heaven.
