0:39.8	Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, denibrate me. Water from the

1:16.9	about forgiveness that it's not a feeling it's not no longer being hurt but it's also not justice
1:24.3	justice demands that we are paid back what we are owed. Forgiveness acknowledges
1:30.3	the hurt and the cost, but still says, I release you from what you owe me. Yesterday we heard from
1:37.8	Jesus on the cross when he said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
1:43.5	And we're reminded that in every situation,
1:46.1	there is reason to forgive because those that hurt us did not fully understand. We're not called
1:51.8	to be friends with them again. We are called to forgive. So today we're going to talk about the
1:57.0	way that God forgives. And also we're going to talk about why bad things happen.
2:04.0	And we can still see them as part of God's plan. So first of all, how God forgives.
2:10.5	Now, we know that when we forgive, we do do things, something similar to God. First of all,
2:16.4	our first step is the same. God sees our
2:20.1	sins. He also sees the cost that it has on our relationship with him. Veneal sins, small sins,
2:27.8	they just put space between us and God. A mortal sin, really serious sins with a really serious intent. Those sever our relationship with God. We need to go to reconciliation before we can receive Holy Eucharist when we have committed a mortal sin. So God sees the reality of that. He sees this was something really bad that happened.
