Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, January 17th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are talking about miracles. But first, let's work on memorizing Deuteronomy

chapter 6 verses 4 through nine in response to the

challenge that saint-andre beset has given us this month in the be a saint kids club in the name of the

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

These words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart, and you shall repeat them diligently to your sons, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk

on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up. Amen. So like I said, this week we're

talking about miracles. Before we get into what a miracle is, I want to remind you why we're talking

about miracles in the month of January, and it's because of our patron, St. Andre Bessette for the Bia St.

Kids Club. St. Andre Bissette, like we talked about last week, was incredibly ordinary. He wasn't a gifted scholar. He didn't perform any amazing heroic deeds. He wasn't a missionary, but he became known

as a wonder worker because his prayers were oftentimes answered with miracles. St. Andrew Prusset

had a special love and care for the sick. And he also worked as a doorkeeper at the

monastery where he lived. So it became known that if you had someone terribly sick in your

lives or if you were terribly sick, that it was a really smart thing, a really good thing,

to go see Brother Andre, to ask him to teach you how to pray

for a miracle. And many of people were reported to have been miraculously healed through his prayers.

So that is a challenge for us. St. Andre Bisset is a saint because he recklessly believed that God is continuing to work miracles. And the

only way that God will work a miracle in response to one of our prayers is if we also recklessly

believe. So before we talk about that, let's remind ourselves of what a miracle is and the three

types of miracles that St. Thomas Aquinas defined. So first of all, a miracle is simply something with
