Fortitude is the supernatural gift of courage, which allows us to have the persistence to follow God's will, no matter what we might face. We see fortitude demonstrated not only by the saints, but also by the people of the Old Testament. Let's all pray for the gift of fortitude this Advent!

each day of this month to pray for our beloved dead and to memorize the prayer for the dead.

Now, St. Andrew is an incredible example of fortitude. So, let's talk about

St. Andrew. Now, St. Andrew was one of the first people to be called to follow Jesus Christ. In fact,

he was a disciple of St. John the Baptist before he became a disciple of Jesus Christ.

He was present at Jesus' baptism.
