O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your sacred heart and union with the holy sacrifice of the mass throughout the world

and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month amen

so we have started to talk about a gift to the Holy Spirit, fear of the Lord. And yesterday we talked about how this is a fear of hurting our relationship with God, not fear of punishment, but a recognition that his love in our lives is the most important thing,

and we should be terrified to damage that relationship.

Now, today, we are going to understand fear of the Lord in an even deeper way.

Many people have pointed out that the gift of the Holy Spirit called

Fear of the Lord can also be understood as being in a position of awe and wonder when we

contemplate God, a feeling awe and wonder. Okay, so before we talk about what that means, I want you to

think back to the last time that you were at Mass, the last time that you were there, that you

heard the words of the consecration, that you went forward for communion. And I want you to honestly

wonder about something. When you were there at any point,

did you feel just overwhelmed by the magnitude, by the amazing things that you were witnessing?
