And one of his challenges is that we memorize the morning offering.

So if you will join me in prayer, in the name of the Father's Son, Holy Spirit, Amen.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day

for all the intentions of your sacred heart and

union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls,

the reparation of sins, and the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions

of the Holy Father this month. Amen.

Well, this week we're talking about distraction, something that all of us have to battle when we pray.

Our mind often wanders. And yesterday we heard about a powerful vision that St. Bernard of Clairbeau had over a thousand years ago, where he went to heaven and saw an angel writing down the words that were being prayed.

Some of them were written down in golden ink, others in water.

So we need to endeavor to engage our whole heart and mind as we pray so that our

prayers reach heaven written down in golden ink. Before we get to strategies for fighting

distraction, I want you to take a minute today to reflect on something. And this is the question

I want you to reflect on. At what times

am I distracted? And at what times am I not distracted? Now, if we really think about this, where we give

into distraction, where distraction plagues us, we can discover what secretly is most
