0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
0:25.6 | Hey Sprouts, I'm Clara from Holy Heroes. Holy Heroes is a Catholic company that strives to bring the joy of the faith to you and your family. |
0:31.6 | Today is September 13th, and it is the memorial of St. John Chrysostom, who is a bishop and doctor of the church. |
0:41.6 | Yesterday, we started talking about Blessed Carlo Acutus. We talked a lot about his childhood |
0:46.9 | and what it was like when he was a little boy growing up. Today I want to talk about what it |
0:51.6 | was like once Carlo started going to school. Now, Carlo was |

1:40.1 | today. But I'll talk about that on another day. Now, it could have been easy for Carlo to be |
1:46.5 | prideful about how easy school was for him, because school isn't always easy for everyone. Instead, |
1:53.7 | he would help his fellow students with their studies. He realized that he had the special gift that |
1:58.5 | subjects like math and computer science came easily to him. |
2:02.8 | So he would reach out to his fellow students and classmates and see if they needed help with |
2:07.2 | their homework. One year, he had a friend who was really struggling to pass her exams and was |
2:12.3 | pretty worried about what the school year was going to look like for her if she couldn't pass them. |
2:17.2 | And Carlo would take time after school and tutor her, giving up probably time that he could |
