Today we are going to pick up with Noah.

Now chances are you know about Noah.

You know about the flood and you know about the ark.

Noah, of course, was called by God to build an ark, a gigantic boat. He was called also to find two animals of every kind and to put them

onto this ark. And then he and his family got onto the ark. But you probably don't know is that he

looked ridiculous when he was doing all of these things. He wasn't necessarily near an ocean or a large

lake when he was building this gigantic boat. People that were there certainly thought that he was being foolish or crazy.

And yet, as soon as Noah went on the ark, God closed the door and the oceans and the heavens

opened and the whole world flooded. God wiped out every living thing on earth, except those that were on the

ark. Now, why did this happen? Well, it happened because that original sin had entered the world

and human beings had become so evil that God saw no other way to deal

with them. But then why did he save Noah? Well, he didn't save Noah because he was the smartest

or the strongest. No, he saved Noah because Noah was faithful to him. Because Noah listened to him.

Because even when God told him to do something ridiculous, to build a huge boat far away from any

large body of water, to go and find two animals of every kind and put them on this big boat.
