| 0:51.6 | I'm telling you, though, Joe, my thing was almost Brad Brown is back in town because I... It's such a tongue twister. I love Lynn Shea's like accent. Like, Brad Brown is back in town. God bless Lin Shea. I totally forgot she was in that first movie. You were like, why don't you just go read the Wikipedia entry? I could not be bothered. So it was a complete surprise. You know, you're like why don't you just go read the Wikipedia entry I could not be |
| 1:11.1 | bothered so it was a complete surprise you know you're slightly forgiven because I know the first |
| 1:15.8 | critters like wasn't one of your big favorite films of anything that we've covered and it was a |
| 1:19.7 | little over two years ago that we did talk about it and Jesus Christ I had to go back and look at |
| 1:24.6 | my production history for that first film because there were even some things that I forgot when I was prepping my production for this one. |
| 1:29.9 | There we go. You know what? It's educational. It is. But yes, what this one is, everyone, is Critters 2, the main course. And it's usually a fight to the top between the first one and the second one with fans of this franchise. Okay. Do you have a preference? Because I feel like you wanted to program this first, as we said in the outro, but then you realize, oh, we should probably cover the first film. Yeah. So as a kid, I always love the first one the most. I mean, I, this is going to be kind of, I'm going against the grain here. I love Critters |
| 2:01.7 | three. That was the first one I ever saw. Three and four aired on like UPM, back when UPN |
| 2:09.9 | all the time when I was a kid. And so I watched three so many times. And as an adult, I can look at it and be like, |
| 2:17.4 | oh yeah, this is like not as good of a film as the others. But nostalgia. It is nostalgia. And, you know, I mean, it's known for being Leonardo DiCaprio's first film, whatever. But, like, it's a different setting. It's critters in an apartment building. That's what that one is. And I like it. Anyway, when I was a kid, though, if pressed between one and two, I actually really liked the first one better because I actually, I didn't like the second one that much as a kid because I hated the fact that we didn't bring back the entire Brown family. Right. Yes. Like, you know me. I'm a big fan of sequels because I like seeing like characters we interact with in the first movie with this new status quo. You know, whether it's like, oh, characters didn't get along in the first movie and they get along by the end of the first one. So then the second one, we can see where they go from there. Sure. The evolution of the character, getting to spend more time with them. Yeah. Yeah. And I just, I mean, again, D. Wallace was like kind of the biggest name in that first movie. |
| 3:09.9 | And I felt kind of the biggest |
