Welcome to the SSPX podcast, and this is not our usual way of introducing a podcast, but we're

doing this little bit out of order. Hello, Father Wiseman. How are you? Hello, Andrew. Doing well. Thanks. How are you?

Very good. Thank you. Now, we are recording this little introduction to the rest of the episode after what

we've already recorded. It is a little bit strange what has happened in the last few days here.

But why are we doing a little introduction here, Father?

Right.

So we actually recorded the podcast a little time ago, and we were set to release it.

And then the new modapropio of Pope Francis came out, Tradizionis Custodas.

And so, you know, we we had the idea maybe just give a little intro to the rest of the podcast to say that the principles which we lay out during this podcast really still apply and

apply to this document of Pope Francis as well. And in fact, they're the same principles that

the society has used and understood whenever the society has faced restrictions put on the traditional forms

of the mass or the sacraments. And I also just want to mention a couple of passages in the

modipropio itself and then in the document accompanying the modopropio, which I think are really revelatory

in terms of what we've in fact said in the in the podcast that's about to come up. So I just

mentioned these so that then if somebody can somebody's listening to the podcast, they can kind

of keep their ears open and see that it's

precisely what we were laying out. And the first quotation that I'll give here is just from

the mod appropriate itself. So the Pope says in Article 3, the bishop of the diocese in which,

until now, there exist one or more groups that celebrate according to

the missile and to cede into the reform of 1970. And then there are a whole list of requirements.

The first requirement, though, is that that bishop of the diocese, quote, is to determine that

these groups do not deny the validity and the legitimacy of the liturgical
